Life Teen

Come and experience the richness of 2,000 years of tradition through your Catholic Church at Holy Rosary; no other church can offer you the fullness of Christ through the sacraments.

LIFE TEEN is a high school ministry for teens in grades 9-12th. It is based on a program that offers "life nights" formatted on educational, social, and issues teens face. The world wide Catholic program was developed out of Meza, Arizona in 1985. The mission is "to bring teens closer to Christ" through the Eucharist and opportunities for them to grow in their faith. In 1999, after careful consideration, Holy Rosary adopted the program to fill the need of the parish for a compreshensive youth program. From Life Teen at Holy Rosary, other programs for younger youth were developed in which the older teens assist in ministering and mentoring. Teens who finish high school return to church by fully participating in mass through their involvement in ministry.

Life Nights: Gatherings are based on catechesis, socials, and issues teens face. We meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 5:00 until 6:00 pm during the school year and 5:00 until 7:00 pm in the summer. Teens gather for fellowship and fun plus the program's curriculum.

Life Teen Mass: 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month @ 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Join us and fully participate in the mass by serving as ushers and earn service hours. Listen and sing to Risen, the youth band, as they lead the congregation into song.

Xtreme Witness: A praise and Eucharistic gathering based on scripture, adoration, witness talks, and praise and worship. We gather every 2nd Wednesday of the month in Church from 6:30 - 8 pm. Experience Jesus in a deeper, closer, intimate way.

Youth Led Bible Study: Every Wednesday in the Life House 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Light refreshments served. Join us for a deeper experience in faith. Get closer to your creator! Find out answers to your questions on Who is God anyway? Why does God allow suffering if he is merciful and full of peace? What is the Kindgom of God? What is my response to God?

EXTRAS: We also participate in numerous other teen activities: Steubenville Conference, Fall Retreat, Xtreme Witness, DYC, Abbey Fest, Volunteer Work, and excursions outside the parish.
